Passchendaele Memorial & Garden

We are proud, and rather touched, to be involved in the creation of the Passchendaele New Zealand Memorial & Garden.

Five shipping containers of New Zealand-made elements have been blessed and are en-route ready for installation near Zonnebeke, Belgium. The winning design was created by Cathy Challinor of Boffa Miskell, and she chose Rob Walsham and our structural engineering team to work with her.

The memorial and garden design commemorates the more than 5000 New Zealanders who were killed or mortally wounded in the series of battles leading to the Battle of Passchendaele, and is part of a series poppy shaped gardens at the Passchendaele Museum, Zonnebeke, Belgium. The official opening will be held in October 2017.
